Jewish settlers at dawn Friday set fire to a mosque in Occupied Jerusalem and vandalized its walls with racial slurs.
Local sources said that a group of Israeli settlers burned parts of al-Badriya Mosque in Sharafat village and spray-painted racist slogans against Muslims and Palestinians on its walls.
According to local residents, al-Badriya is one of the oldest mosques in the village.
Recent years have seen an increase in settler attacks, particularly arson attacks, on mosques in the West Bank, Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories occupied since 1948.
