#PalestineLandDay: 44 years have passed, and the years on.

On this day in 1976, thousands of Palestinians marched in towns and villages across the Galilee region, in the north of occupied Palestine, to protest the occupation’s expropriation of vast tracts of land as part of its openly declared policy to “Judaize” the area at the expense of the indigenous population.

“Israel” shot and murdered 6 Palestinians, that day, injuring and jailing hundreds more.March 30 is known as Land Day. It has become a major commemorative date in the Palestinian political calendar and an important event in the Palestinian collective narrative – one that emphasizes Palestinian resistance to Israeli colonization and summed (steadfastness).
