A Palestinian fisherman was wounded on Wednesday morning when Israeli naval forces opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats in Gaza waters.
The Palestinian Fishermen of Gaza Committee said that a fisherman named Ibrahim Abu Warda, 23, suffered rubber bullet injuries when Israeli gunboats attacked a group of Palestinian fishermen off northern Gaza’s shore.
Abu Warda, who was shot in the arm and leg, was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Israeli naval forces regularly harass Palestinian fishermen in Gaza waters by shooting at them, arresting them, seizing their fishing boats, and restricting their activity.
