Occupied West Bank (In Palestine Today)- Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested on Thursday evening a Palestinian while he was passing through the Israeli Za’tara checkpoint, south of Nablus, in the northern West Bank.
Family sources reported that IOF stopped the young man Hassan al-Shaer at the checkpoint and searched his vehicle before arresting him.
The IOF soldiers seized his father’s vehicle which he was driving, according to the sources.
Most of the days, the Hawara and Za’tara checkpoints witness similar incidents, such as the arrest of young men, the detention of others and conducting field investigations.
There are more than 700 military checkpoints in the West Bank, fixed and temporary, that impede the movement of citizens.
