Occupied Jerusalem (In Palestine Today)- Israeli forces repressed a peaceful protest against ethnic cleansing in the eastern part of Jerusalem this evening.
Residents of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, as well as activists, protested against the Israeli ethnic cleansing policy against Palestinians. The protest comes two days before an Israeli court session, which will deliberate a decision to forcefully expel four Palestinian families from their houses in the Sheik Jarrah.
The protesters chanted slogans against the Israeli government and rejecting the Israeli policy of ethnic cleansing.
Israeli forces repressed the peaceful protest using dozens of stun grenades and skunk water.
Yesterday, another protest took place at the entry to the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood. Israeli police prevented protesters from entering the neighborhood.
