Occupied Palestine (In Palestine Today)- Israeli military court has issued a prison sentence for 22 months against Palestinian detainee Ezz el-Din Abu Naasa, a resident of the town of Ya’bad in the northern occupied West Bank city of Jenin.
Asra Media Office reported that the IOF forces detained youth Abu Naasa on August 13, 2020 and took him for interrogation at al-Jalama military detention center, after raiding on and ransacking the house of his family in the town of Ya’bad.
After adjourning his trial for several times, the office added, the Israeli court sentenced the youth Abu Naasa to 22 months in prison and issued a financial penalty estimated at NIS 4000 against him.
The office indicated that the Israeli court has indicted youth Abu Naasa with charges of incitement and posing a threat to Israeli occupation forces.
According to Palestinian figures, about 4,850 Palestinians, including 34 women and 160 children, are currently languishing in Israeli detention jails.
Among them, close to 540 Palestinians are currently being held under Israel’s illegal policy of administrative detention, under which prisoners can be held for renewable six-month periods without charge or trial.
