Sonata Arctica is a Finnish power metal band, started in 1996 as Tricky Beans (briefly changed to Tricky Means), playing hard rock/pop music that later evolved into Stratovarius-inspired power metal.
The band is scheduled to preform in Tel Aviv in March, 2020.

Some Palestinian activists represented in “VPalestine team” have asked the band not to preform in apartheid “Israel” because the Israeli government continues to enforce severe and discriminatory restrictions on Palestinians’ human rights; restrict the movement of people and goods into and out of the Gaza Strip; and facilitate the unlawful transfer of Israeli citizens to settlements in the occupied West Bank.
They also explained to the band how “Israel” will use this performance to whitewash its brutal crimes against the Palestinians.
