Outrage against Israeli Independence Day celebrations

Palestine, Thursday, April 30.(In Palestine Today)- “Israel” marked its so-called Independence Day on Tuesday and Wednesday, using the Hebrew calendar. It is known that it was established as a state on 14 May 1948.

Israel’s establishment reminds the Palestinians of the genocide and the ethnic cleansing that was committed against them. Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were forcibly expelled from their homeland to establish a Jewish-majority state, as per the aspirations of the Zionist movement.

Between 1947 and 1949, at least 750,000 Palestinians from a 1.9 million population were made refugees beyond the borders of the state. Zionist forces had taken more than 78 percent of historic Palestine, ethnically cleansed and destroyed about 530 villages and cities, and killed about 15,000 Palestinians in a series of mass atrocities, including more than 70 massacres.

The celebrations of the state of “Israel” prompted Palestinians and supporters of Palestine to reveal Israel’s hideous face as it is still committing horrible crimes against the Palestinian people, crimes that violate international law.
