Occupied Palestine( In Palestine Today)- The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) quelled on Friday a march condemning the establishment of a new settlement outpost in the Ras al-Tin area in Kafr Malik village, east of Ramallah. A Palestinian citizen was injured by a gas bomb in his shoulder and a medic was arrested.
Local sources reported that clashes broke out between the Palestinian youths and the IOF soldiers in the Ein Samia area near the village. IOF and Jewish settlers fired live bullets and tear gas canisters at the march.
Abdullah Abu Rahma, the Director-General of Popular Resistance Committee against the Wall, was injured with a gas bomb in his shoulder, and others suffered breathing difficulty and they treated in the field.
IOF arrested the medic Muhammad Hussein Hamed, 26 years, while he was trying to treat the injured, according to the sources.
The march was launched from the center of Kafr Malik towards the Ras al-Tin area, protesting the occupation’s intention to establish a new settlement outpost on large areas of the village’s lands.
